Some savings require a Texas-specific pass. Others require military identification, online verification or simply asking before buying your ticket.
Know which kind of discount you're looking for before you pay.
Don't assume your National Park pass automatically works at Texas State Parks.
Texas operates its own Texas Parklands Passport programs for qualifying Seniors, Veterans, disabled Veterans, people with disabilities, active-duty military and Gold Star families.
Check your Texas eligibility before paying regular State Park entrance fees.

Texas residents age 65 or older may qualify for the Senior Partial Passport.
The pass currently allows the passholder and one companion to receive 50% off qualifying State Park entry fees.
Proof of age, identity and Texas residency may be required.
If you visit Texas State Parks regularly, check this before paying full entrance fees.
Qualifying disabled Veterans may receive free entrance benefits at Texas State Parks through the Texas Parklands Passport program.

Space Center Houston currently publishes a military discount of $5 off regular admission for qualifying active and retired military with U.S. military identification.
The discount is obtained at the ticket booth by presenting qualifying military ID.
Active military members may also receive a discount on qualifying gift-shop purchases.
Veteran eligibility may differ from active and retired military eligibility, so verify before purchasing.
San Antonio has deep military ties, but attraction policies still vary.
SeaWorld San Antonio publishes military offers through its Waves of Honor program.
Active-duty military may qualify for complimentary admission under current rules.
Veteran offers are separate and may require online verification through ID.me.
Some offers are not available at the front gate.
